Yes Johakim is the man, but that is only one of his alias's
Myself and a dealer friend who runs a tribal art gallery have been tracking him now for about 5 weeks.
His pattern is simple, sends photographs of items lifted off some other galleries website and then asks for Western Union payment, we have managed (using false email addresses ourselves) to convince him we need banking details rather than western union payments, after some debate he provides bank account information. We need bank accounts as they have an official audit trail and therefore the bank will know who this person really is.
I am in contact with the Art & Antiques Unit at the Metropolitan Police and we are gathering information for the "International Intelligence Dissemination" form (a 5 by 5 by 5 form apparently). This form is produced by the Met for onward submission to Interpol and the Kenyan Authorities.
The reason I needed to make contact with you is all we have at the moment is "intent to defraud" rather than actual fraud (this is because we never send him money, we just find out as much as we can then say "lets meet" and he disappears), so because you have been defrauded by him, we now have the missing piece of evidence we need for the form's submission. Please can you send me whatever you have on your particular dealings with this man.
Ideally I would like to present as conclusive a report as possible to ensure he is arrested or at the very least cautioned and shut down. So to this end, have you heard of anyone else being defrauded by this man? If so can you put me in touch with them please
